Yad Vashem is closed on Saturdays and all Jewish Holidays.
Entrance to the Holocaust History Museum is not permitted for children under the age of 10. Babies in strollers or carriers will not be permitted to enter.
The Parkiet family hid for over two years in a workshop in Paris, France. They shared the hiding place with a man by the name of Kreisman, who made the chessboard and pieces to help pass the time during the many idle hours in hiding. The family survived in the hiding place until the end of the war.
