Last Moments Before the Gas Chambers

“It has been said that there will never be people as innocent as the victims on the threshold of the gas chambers.”
Israel Gutman

The undressing rooms of Crematoria 4 and 5 were not sufficient for the masses of Hungarian Jews, who arrived in the spring of 1944. Therefore, the Jews had to wait until the undressing rooms were ready to absorb them. The common waiting place was the grove behind Crematorium 4, where they were given orders to sit and wait.
