Prof. Israel Gutman
Prof. Israel Gutman was born in Warsaw in 1923. He was wounded in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, sent to Majdanek, then to Auschwitz and then on a death march to Mauthausen. Prof. Gutman is an internationally renowned Holocaust scholar and is the Academic Advisor to Yad Vashem.
