The primary objective of the Visual Center is to create the world’s leading digital film library of Holocaust cinema by making relevant films available to the general public. More than 5,700 films have been catalogued in our database, and more than half of these titles are currently available for viewing on our premises. One hundred new films were added to our collection in the first quarter of 2009. In addition, all of the 52,000 survivor testimonies of the USC Shoah Foundation Institute, as well as approximately 10,000 Yad Vashem survivor testimonies can now be viewed at the Visual Center.
In keeping with our mandate, we are interested in acquiring viewing copies of Holocaust-related films of all genres, as well as video art and television programs, from any country, in any language, dating from the early 1900’s to the present. Filmmakers: We invite you to contact us to make your film available for viewing.
