Yad Vashem Studies
Submission of Manuscripts
Yad Vashem Studies publishes original scholarly articles and review articles on the Shoah, its antecedents, and postwar issues regarding survivors, justice, memory of the Shoah, and related subjects.
Articles may be submitted to Yad Vashem Studies in Hebrew or in almost any European language (although English is preferable). Submissions should be original contributions and not under simultaneous consideration for other publications. If any other version of the article is under consideration elsewhere, or has been or will be published, authors must indicate this clearly.
To be accepted for publication, articles must pass rigorous peer review both within and outside the Editorial Board. Acceptance of an article may be accompanied by a request for revisions prior to publication. Authors will receive 15 free offprints of the article and a complimentary copy of the volume in which their article appears. Copyright on articles published in Yad Vashem Studies rests with Yad Vashem.
All submissions should follow Yad Vashem’s house style and should not exceed 10,000 words (including notes).
Submissions must be accompanied by an abstract of approximately 150 words (100 for review essays) that relates the main arguments and conclusions of the article.
Submissions should also include, on a separate page, details of the author’s institutional affiliation, full address, and other contact information.
It is the author’s responsibility to obtain permission of the copyright holder for use of any copyright materials to be included within the article. Confirmation of this permission should be included with the submission on a separate page.
Manuscripts should be submitted in duplicate, double-spaced, on one side only, with ample margins, on A4 paper. All pages and footnotes should be numbered consecutively.
Submissions should be sent to:
