No Child’s Play Traveling Exhibition Opens in Finland
Yad Vashem's No Child's Play travelling exhibition was brought to Finland with the support of several pro-Israel Christian groups under a common umbrella of the Israel Ystävyystoimikunta Board. The exhibition was opened in Helsinki on 8 November 2012 in remembrance of Kristallnacht, the Night of the Broken Glass, in the presence of the Ambassador of Israel to Finland H.E. Mr. Dan Ashbel. Many other activities such as a seminar and church events followed the opening.

Feast of Tabernacles Celebrations at Yad Vashem
In October 2012, during the annual International Christian Embassy Jerusalem Feast of Tabernacles celebration, the Christian Friends of Yad Vashem hosted guests from abroad and various leaders of various international Christian ministries in Israel. Almost all of the ICEJ national directors participated in a unique wreath laying ceremony, including presentation of a donation for the work of Yad Vashem. The wreath laying ceremony was led by the International Relations Division at Yad Vashem and attended by the leadership of the ICEJ.
Other guests included groups from Bolivia and Costa Rica, which came to Yad Vashem for special tree guardianship ceremonies. The tree adoption donations go to maintain these very special trees, which represent the connection between our past and present.
A tour group from Eagles Wings, a pro-Israel Evangelical organization founded by Rev. Robert Stearns, participated in the Feast of Tabernacles celebrations as well, and visited the Avenue of the Righteous at Yad Vashem where they sponsor a tree.
Also during the Feast of Tabernacles a special ceremony was held dedicating a plaque for a donation received from Finland enabling, for the first time, the Yad Vashem No Child's Play travelling exhibition to be exhibited in Finland. The donation was received from Israel Ystävyystoimikunta, the coalition of pro-Israel organizations in Finland.
